Job Summary:
This individual should understand the specific data that each department needs and design reports for staff and departments accordingly. The objective is designing a report system that is easily accessible and that users can adjust to specify the needed data. This may mean creating an interface allowing the user to set time parameters for the data or to limit data to a specific product or service. Configure the reports to connect with databases of information and present the relevant information needed for specific, identified purposes to be useful.
Role:
Report developers must be strong communicators so they can ensure they use their reports to effectively present information. Design abilities are important to guarantee that their report systems are presentable and can be used easily and effectively. These professionals must possess strong analytical skills to properly assess the needs of different departments and determine what data is required for different types of reports. Problem-solving abilities help them in determining how to pool data and access it effectively for their reports. Experience in information processing, data manipulation and design reports.
